Yeah I can imagine it becoming quite childlike going back and forth especially in front of a judge!

And yes sorry, a lack of due diligence. They admitted to an error on their part but to me it’s just another example of how poorly they manage these cases.

Awesome! I’ll get everything printed up over the weekend then! Thank you!

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I'm under the assumption that the Claimant is to provide hard copies of all documents to all parties and the Judge.
They don't have to provide hard copies as a full bundle unless the Hearing Order states that. You should take a file with everything with you.

    Apologies for the long reply.

I lost unfortunately but the Judge helped me partly by wiping out some of the charges and the additional £70 in 'recovery fees'.

See below some of the notes I made after the hearing.

    • Judge did not receive my Witness Statement. Said the court did not receive it. Hardcopy was provided by myself so good job I prepared this. Claimant Rep agreed this was the same so judge said it was ok to use. She skim read through the WS after 5-10 minutes.
    • There was a heavy discussion around identifying that I was an actual resident as my name was not on the tenancy agreement nor on the estate agent's letter. But the Judge did believe this was true and that I was a resident.
    • Tenancy agreement only said parking space (if applicable) under ‘Premises’. So was not able to use this as a right to park over the parking firms conditions.
    • It was decided that because I eventually used and was in possession of a permit later on that there was an understanding of the terms on the signage.
    • The case was lost due to this
    • But the three consecutive days were wiped clean as the Judge thought this was unreasonable.
    • The Judge also wiped off the additional £70 'debt recovery' charges as these were not explained why in detail.

    Thanks for the update.

So the claim - including interest and court fees - was presumably (in total) seeking over a grand for 5 PCNs.

She removed 3 of them and she removed the fake fees for the two remaining PCNs so you must have ended up paying less than half of the total on the claim form?

Yes that’s right, was around half the full amount. Was frustrated to lose as I felt I had a solid case but was thankful to the judge for support with the outcome!

She shut down their representative straight away when it came to the additional £70 collection fees. I didn’t even have to question anything!
