Will dfs replace mold damaged soda??

Hello everyone.
In 2022 I bought a £2000 corner recliner sofa from dfs.

Last autumn, we had a massive leak at home that caused a lot of mold in the property. My housing association replaced the flooring, tiles and and repainted affected areas.
Shortly afterwards, I noticed my sofa was covered in mold spores in many areas which wasn't very visible in photos because of the colour of the sofa.
I bought a dehumidifier and placed it near the sofa and left it at that. I also bought a cover for the sofa.
Now it's been almost a year and my son who developed asthma right after this leak and mold issue has a reaction any time he sits on the sofa.
Because I was worried about air quality and my son's constant coughing I replaced all my mattresses, bedding, curtains and booked a mold specialist to test the air and do a swab test on the sofa itself.
The tests came back that the sofa is harbouring 3 different strains of toxic mold and advised me to get rid of it as sofas are notoriously difficult to remediate from mold, similar to mattresses.
My question is, am I entitled to get a replacement for this sofa in my 5 year accidental damage cover?
What evidence do I need to provide to dfs' insurers?

What does your policy say it covers. Sometimes 'accident cover' has limitations.

House contents insurance may cover it.

It depends entirely on what the T&Cs of the "accidental damage cover" say.

As you haven't told us and as I can't read them from here, I can't really say...

(If your housing association accepted responsibility insofar as replacing flooring, tiling and repainting etc, did you ask them to replace damaged furniture?  Do you have your own insurance cover for contents?)

Most likely under landlord's responsibility to maintain the fabric of the building, nothing to do with taking responsibility for the leak.

based on this policy, I doubt it would be covered for the damage you describe. But there is nothing stopping you from asking DFS

In particular this clause(s) in "What's Not Covered"
any stain or damage caused by contractors in your home, neglect, abuse, misuse, malicious damage, theft, fire, scorching, flood, burst pipes (including radiator leaks), sunlight, wind, weather, leaking roofs (including roof windows) or leaking conservatories

    accidental staining or accidental damage which has occurred at different times and have been allowed to accumulate/worsen;
