Is luxury car tax payable?

You can ask for confirmation from the seller based on the front of the V5. It states whether it was over £40k at the time of purchase and therefore requires the luxury VED charge.1

Mine shows there is a suppliment of £390 so if yours doesn’t, I’d suggest it isn’t applicable
