Is luxury car tax payable?

Hello all, I'm thinking of buying a 2 year old mild hybrid car. It could have been over £40k when first registered, how can I find out if the luxury road tax is payable on the car? I've checked Gov.uk, cartaxcheck.co.uk etc but no luck.

You can ask for confirmation from the seller based on the front of the V5. It states whether it was over £40k at the time of purchase and therefore requires the luxury VED charge.

I did check there, it shows £180 but wasn't sure if that was just showing the standard price or if it meant the  supplement price wasn't applicable

Mine shows there is a suppliment of £390 so if yours doesn’t, I’d suggest it isn’t applicable
