Microwave litres vs centimetres

Does anyone know how to calculate a microwave oven’s size in litres?
I ask because I have an ancient microwave that is supposed to be 17 litres capacity. It says 17 litres in the manual and on the cardboard box it came in.
I’ve just taken delivery of a replacement that is advertised as 20 litres capacity. It says this on the advert, user manual and cardboard box (so its not a typo). However, the inside of the new microwave is significantly smaller than my old one, despite supposedly being 3 litres larger capacity.
The inside of my old “17 litre” microwave measures 28cm W x 29cm D x 20cm T
The inside of my new “20 litre” microwave measures 27cm W x 29cm D x 17cm T
Just to confirm, these measurements are the interior.
How do I convert the cm dimensions to litres?

Multiply W x D x T and divide by 10001

On modern MVs, the litre 'volume' will include any side recess, the space above the grill element, the sunken recess under the turntable, and even the usable area...GrahamLM52 said:Does anyone know how to calculate a microwave oven’s size in litres?

It comes out at 17400 cubic centimetres or 17.4 litres. There is no way I can make it 20 litres no matter how I try. Guess it will have to go back.1

That's a shame @GrahamLM, but good for you challenging the received wisdom of the box. I wonder if it comes under Trades Description?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
