My rates have increased today when I am on a fixed tariff
I fixed a price with British Gas in May & it is fixed for a year till May 2025. I went online to my account and noticed that everything has increased in my fixed Tarif (gas & electric standing & unit prices) I checked my latest bill to make sure I wasn't making a mistake and the prices are lower than todays. I thought they couldn't change the price once they are fixed. Anyone else had the same problem or am I missing something?

What is the name of the tariff you're on?

Welcome to the forum.Your fixed price quotation will have included the 5% VAT, but the standing charge and kWh prices on the bill are shown without VAT, which is added on at the end.2

I don't know how to reply to people individually - I am just learning so please bear with me.
Mark - I am on Fixed Lighter 12M v2 (British Gas)
Gerry - Thanks for the info
I have just downloaded my recent bill and it is the same as the last one. I will keep an eye on it as it is still a little different to what is on my on-line account (under my tariff details)
Thanks to anyone that replied to my question. I need to do a bit of training on how to use the forums. I am dyslexic so it will be trial and error I'm afraid, but I will get there.
Hopefully learn how to do a smiley face.
Thanks again(lesson 1 smiley face - learned)

If you click on "Quote it will repeat the person's post and you can respond underneath. That makes things easier to understand, especially if the post was a few pages back. You can also type @ and the person's name (no space) and they will be sent a notification that you've responded. Like this:@Katie_Kat Again, that's handy if your reply isn't immediate and they don't keep checking back.0

Assuming your tariff is actually a fix, and not some sort of price cap tracker, then you should compare the figures quoted in the T&Cs against your recent bills (probably worth looking at all the bills you've been issued since you signed up in May). If any details are different (eg. the actual tariff named on your bills, or the unit rates you're being charged) then I'd suggest you log a formal complaint with BG asking them to look into it and correct their mistake.
