Cahoot 'Simple Saver'

Cahoot aren't responsible for the post.
Also what kinda bothered me is the name of the account changes depending on what you look at.
On info page its advertised as Cahoot Simple Saver.
In online banking it shows up as Cahoot Savings account.
On email it shows up as Cahoot Instant Access Account.
Just looked through my emails it seems both my Sunny Day & Simple (or whatever you want to call it) got opened same day0 -
Frustrating aint the word for it. Cahoot idiot account .. i put most of my cash in other accounts..Cahoot finally sent me the security info to log on .i thought i would continue and just save small change in this account. The security details don't let me log on ...i just screwed up the two sheets of paper and threw it at the wall. I am not wasting time dealing with stupid company's. Avoid this one.

I had no problem opening both simple saver (a week ago when it was 4.85%AER) and sunny day saver. Both letters arrived within a few days from opening. Overall I am happy, although it does feel dated with no app, and SMS OTP required to log on and again to make transfers out. It's not even a smart SMS where you can click to copy the code and paste it in - have to manually read it and type it into the phone browser letter by letter. Why not allow use of an authenticator app for TOTP, which would be easier and quicker, and allow access when there is no phone signal?
Would be great if you could access the accounts from the Santander app.

When I login from my phone and the box for the code appears I click on it and my phone automatically pastes the code into the box, so it's very easy for me to login. App would be better, but I can easily get by without it. Neither I had any difficulties with opening the account.NorwichMan said:I had no problem opening both simple saver (a week ago when it was 4.85%AER) and sunny day saver. I am quite happy with my Cahoot savings accounts and had no problems setting up the accounts. It seems unfortunate that some people have problems but this is certainly no reason to avoid the account.

I've opened them in January, but haven't been very active in Cahoot, just filled up two sunny days, put £1 into simple and made monthly withdrawals of interest. From 14 October, when Ulster's loyalty goes down to 4.75%, it will become my main EA account because I don't have any better than 5.12% on my waiting list. It's a winner for me - best rate, can pay in and out to and from any bank accounts 24/7 and all transactions are instant. The same as Santander's easy access and Ulster's loyalty, the only inconvenience is the lack of app.friolento said:I am quite happy with my Cahoot savings accounts and had no problems setting up the accounts. Note the 5.12% only lasts until the anniversary of opening the Simple Saver ac - then morphs in a saver currently paying 1.19% IIRC.allegro120 said:

Yep, the treat lasts for 12 months only. Mine will end in mid January and the float will have to go elsewhere. My EA pot is very used to moving housessoulsaver said:
