I went on my account and it said if I wanted to change the return method to cancel the return and redo it. I cancelled one bag and tried to redo but it immediately changed the return window to end on 22nd September.’I’ve not come across a return where the post office packages a return for you usually if I return something to Amazon and opt for RM I only have the choice of a label or a QR option that I can take to the PO for a label to be printed, never a wrapping option as well.
It says 'The store will pack, label, and ship your return for free.'0 -
^ That's correct, I regularly use this option with my local PO.
Once it is scanned you should get an automated email from Amazon as confirmation and refunding the money in advance of the return, the PO won't give confirmation of receipt for this specific process.0 -
Personally if someone told me to do something by a particular date, I would understand that I had to do it before that date and not on the date.2

I doubt The PO keep a supply of paper/boxes etc to pack items.

In my case it was returning a router when I changed broadband supplier.
The Post Office clerk scanned my barcode then threw the router in a sack half full of other BT routers. No doubt the process is that when the sack is full it is sent as one item to the recycling centre, a much more efficient and cost-effective method than packing and processing each one individually.
Amazon like efficiencies so I am sure they would also have had a similar sack behind the counter. Their IT system would have no trouble linking a scanned barcode with one specific sackload of returns.0 -

I returned item & put it back in the amazon package it came in. I had to take it out & bin that so they could send it back. Guess it's a check to make sure you are sending a item back.Life in the slow lane0 -
I package mine , the PO scan it and it put in the same sack as all other parcels. No separate sack.
