The landscaper who we've initially got planned to do the patio I'm not sure is overly keen on handling the waste works, is that normal?
Nowadays drain works are normally done by specialist firms. Years ago drainage was the bricklayer's job, as the manholes were built in brickwork, and the pipes had sand/cement joints. Plumbers normally deal with above ground drainage. Landscapers wouldn't normally be involved with that type of work.
