Stoozing - time to move cards - BT or purchase help please

Options
Hopefully a quick one. I've got a stoozed balance on a card, and have secured 2 new 0% / 0 BT fee cards to move it onto.

We've also got the outstanding balance on next year's holiday to pay. Figured I might as well stooze that rather than paying it off now, and chuck the money in PBs.

My question - the second card I've got, has both 0% on BTs and 0% on purchases.

Is there any benefit to using the new card for "purchasing" the holiday balance, or should I stick it on the old card and just increase the amount that needs to be balance transferred from it?

Thanks

  • I usually go for 0% purchase cards as there is no fee and use them for all my purchases (big or small) and then save all the money in a saving account ready to pay the card of when I need.

With the BT cards, even though it is 0% for however long, isn't there usually a fee to stick the initial amount on it?  If not, then I don't suppose it matters unless there are differing time periods for the different 0%s.

  • The Santander card is 0% fee for BT (12 month)

You're right though, looks like purchases are only 0% for 3 months, so that answers the question!

    Cheers
