Yep, I feel like some other posters might have been comparing the the OP's rate to the whole of market. They are what they are, however shared ownership rates include a premium over standard repayment mortgages, circa 1% in my experience.0 -
The window is too short for investing and you are unlikely to get a savings account that beats your mortgage rate in terms of interest. Overpaying the mortgage seems to be the prudent course of action.1
