Update on AIrex Smart Vents

I had these installed in November 2023 and was pleased that they do open and close in response to weather conditions.  I got an inital report from AIrex about the performance during December 2023 whic was very encouraging, but when none came in January 2024,  I asked for the report which they reluctantly sent but said it was too much trouble to provide a report and they would not be providing any more.  The January 2024 report was a shock as it showed the vents had virtually no effect despite the weather being just as cold as December.  When I queried the report my misgivings were brushed aside.  I complained again and eventually someone from their technical department admitted they were having probelms with their software, but assured me my vents were working.  How can I trust the company when they cover up problems?  They claim that if there's a problem they will contact you, but when there was a problem it was my installer who alerted me and I then contacted AIrex, who admitted they were having problems with the software, again!   As I have lost confidence in the compnay I now, in colder weather, regularly take front grills off the devices and check the position of the flap is open or closed.

Airex have a potentially clever product but they really need to get their act together over customer support and create an app that enables the customer to monitor their own system.  There is an installers portal that has data on the performance of all the vents at an address.  When I asked if I could have this Airex refused.  I could have installed the vents myself so why can't they let me have access to my own data.  All very disappointing.

As with many products these days there have to be pioneers that get product first and go through these teething issues.

The problem is if others don't follow these companies and products wither and die.
