Smart parking fine

Hello everyone! Looking for some advice
I have been given a smart parking fine, for context I just parked in the car park with no intention of doing pay and display and chancing it however to my knowledge it’s private therefore can’t be enforced?
should I pay or just ignore?

It can definitely be enforced if they know who was driving, so keep stum
Wait for the postal notice to arrive, then come back to this thread and update us before doing anything at all
There is no keeper liability in Scotland either, so file it, no action at all1 -
You can currently ignore private PCNs in Scotland but this will change in about a year and you are getting 'keeper liability'.aberdeen1997 said:

You will need to look at signs properly in future. And stop selfishly parking with no intention to pay the fee. Parking like that is the cause of the problem and why the law is changing North of the Border.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

post was regarding payment or disregard not an opinion on the scenario.0 -
My reply wasn't my opinion.
It was factual ... and to help you.
It was to tell you that (due in part to selfish parking and no redress for landowners) the law is changing as the first paragraph of my post informs you, therefore drivers soon won't be able to get away with that any more in Scotland.
Start looking at signs and complying is my advice. Ignore that at your peril in a year's time. If anyone starts litigating in Scotland, Smart will likely be one.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
