Hi,

I would be very grateful if anyone who has a Lidl Parkside Extendable Hedge Trimmer such as below, could quickly check as indicated in the picture below, if you have have two screws, where it seems to be missing in mine, leading to a fault.
Many Thanks.

Just a thought are these individual indexing spring ball inserts used  to  correctly align and position  the corresponding parts of the trimmer by twisting the extension tube until locked ? To disassemble a firm twist usually unlocks

Info from from BERGER TOOLS LTD

Indexing and spring plungers and ball lock pins are useful products with a wide range of applications. The principle behind all these parts is the same in that a spring is used to provide force to push either a spigot or bolt, or a ball into a corresponding hole, and in doing so, lock parts into place. This is ideal for various purposes such as joining two or more parts together, to align and locate parts into a correct position, and for indexing purposes. They are also used for work holding purposes.
  • Thanks, having examined the small inner pole doesn't seem to have any hole or indexing spring ball inserts as you call them, I am of the opinion (though could be wrong) that if I am missing two screws, then somehow they keep the inner pole from turning inside the outer larger pole.

The Red flip thingy in picture will lock the poles at the correct length, problem I have is inner pole turning around inside larger outer pole.

Still would like someone to check if they have this trimmer.

    Many thanks.
