My installers gave me the MCS etc, and a handover pack within 3 daysThanks for the manual , will go through it . Yes, I am registered with the GivEnergy app from Apple store and browser .Today it is over a month and received nothing from the installation company, I have checked the battery level and it is 3% and showing IDLE. This issue was from the day it was installed.

...Currently, I'm not set up to export any electricity, as I'm still waiting for the certificate and handover pack...
My inverter, which is a different make, can limit my export, right down to zero if I choose. But it does that by limiting my generation.Hi,I am not sure about this. Yes, I have a smart meter but not really sure of how everything works yet , so learning slowly but surely. I have an extra cabinet and pretty sure there is an extra meter.I have not seens anything on the Octopus Smart meter that measures export. I am aware that I am able to change the settings of the Inverter to limit the export to Zero, but was not shown anything at all yet. My concerns at the moment are the battery or if it has been installed correctly as it looks like there is a fault. Also I have checked my energy comsumption and I have noticed no difference at all since it was installed , which is bad news.0 -
debitcardmayhem said:I have had Givenergy battery and inverter since Dec 23, had no problems, the battery should charge to 100% at install and then discharge fully to calibrate. After that mine is on Eco most of time, unless forcing export, but no point of you doing this until you have a MPAN for export. I suggest you installers have not much assistance, and probably have misconfigured somehow. This am my battery wend from 71% this 100% before 12 whilst washing 3 loads
The day the battery was installed, it showed 100%. Then it was calibrated, and I assume they discharged it for the calibration. This process was repeated two days after the installation. On both occasions, the calibration finished around 10 p.m., and by 10 a.m. the next day, the battery level dropped to 0%, then 2%, and eventually 4%.
I've been trying to resolve this with the installation company, but I've noticed a lack of after-sales support. They’ve tried to blame the issue on shading and then advised me to wait 12 months to see how it performs, which seems like an attempt to avoid taking responsibility.

Don't judge from today as at the moment mine is using from the grid apart from almost 100w, my daytime usage is normally over 500w/hr. There have been a few days recently like that.I think until you are set up with your supplier properly then it will not measure the export. I do have access to a monitor which tells me what I am exporting & not yet being paid for as not yet set up.0

The only time mine went to export-all was when I had the new smart meter fitted. So my totally unknowledgable take on this would be to get the installers electrician back.As they told me my battery won't go below 10% either.Hi, Thanks for that.I am not sure about the exporting etc. as I don't have much knowledge , but with a battery level between 0% , 2% and 4% there is no much to export I believe. I even had fitted the Ibooster for the hot water and as the battery is almost empty the Ibooster has done nothing instead spening more electricity as it is on 24/7.

I have a GivEnergy system.
Are you sure you have an AC coupled inverter?
If it was all installed with the solar panels then you would probably have a hybrid inverter.
AC coupled inverters are normally fitted if you already have solar panels with an inverter and add battery storage later.
What does the app or website show?
The app is clear and easy to understand showing the flow of electricity around your house.
It will show what you are generating from the solar panels, what the house is consuming, what is flowing to/from the battery and what is being imported/exported.
Post some pictures of your equipment is possible.
Post a screenshot from the GivEnergy app showing the electricity flows.

It is possible that your installer fitted micro inverters which is why you would have an AC coupled inverter for the battery.
What is actually installed, does the invoice detail what you have?0
