Hi, 

We are due to move in two weeks but our car insurance and MOT is also due in two weeks, should I renew now at our old address or wait until I'm at the new address?

You're moving on the exact same day the insurance is up for renewal?!

Where will the car be kept at midnight on the day of renewal?  Presumably the 'old' address.  I'd use that one, then change in a day or two once you've moved.

Car insurance usually ends at midnight on the day stated on the policy, so if the policy says it ends on 5th October, it will be valid throughout the 5th October. 

If your insurance is set to auto renew, then don't worry about it. Call the Insurer as soon as you can to report your new address. 

The MOT station won't be worried about your home address. Update the DVLA with your new home address for the V5 as soon as you can after the move and don't forget to do your driving licences as well. It would be as well to make a list of everyone who needs to be told your new address so you don't forget anyone.
