While messing about with my android 11 Motorola phone's developer mode settings, I've managed to do something to media volume. I can hear the phone when making calls etc. the alarm works. I've downloaded a brain training app - I can hear the sound there but not anything online such as YouTube or online games. I've made sure all volume settings are up and that sounds aren't diverted to the headphone jack. Is there anything else I can check?

When you state on-line, do you mean via a browser? if so try another one to rule that out.

Youtube does play on the browser of a mobile phone, never mind its insistence on opening the app.

Solved issue by going into 'sound settings' on chrome. It was on mute. Got the hint when you talked about the browser. Thank you.0
