Duplicate Yahoo Emails

I've downloaded the Yahoo mail app for the first time onto my android tablet but am now receiving duplicate emails.  One is addressed as part of my email name the other to 'me'.  How can I stop this happening please it's surprisingly annoying.

Multiple (= 2) same accounts registered in the app?  Not sure if these instructions match the current app:-

1. Tap the Profile icon.
2. Tap Manage Accounts.
3. How many accounts can you see?

Thank grumpycrab but I don't appear to have a profile icon. I'm receiving duplicate emails in the app on my tablet but on my desktop where I just use the url of yahoo to access my emails I only get one.  I don't know if that information is of any use in solving this issue.

Ok, I've just installed the yahoo app.  Click on the "Mail 27 unread" title - depending on how many unread you have - then click on manages accounts.  Tell us what you see.

It doesn't look like the above.  I get a heading labelled MAILBOXES below is a list All boxes and my two email names attached to this account.  Below that is the usual unread, attachments flagged etc.  If I press on Unread the only thing that appears are my unread emails no other writing.

Don't feel you have to reply grumpycrab as others on here can testify I'm useless at trying to keep up with technology and never appear to see what everyone else does.  My Lenovo table is 3 years old I don't know if that is considered outdated.
