Yep its fine, always mash it with carrot and then freeze in a tub, and has always been fine after.0

No problem, I do it all the time as you can't really buy swede in small quantities and I can never use it all in one go - but i hate to throw anything out!
As others have said, it may taste a bit watery, so drain it off well and enrich with butter or milk.0 -
We have never had a problem doing this. We love mashed swede.
