Lastminute.com

I have an upcoming trip to London booked with Lastminute.com. I paid the trip in instalments and the last payment they claim they were unable to take. I have tried two debit cards, a credit card and Paypal but I have been unable to make the payment. The issue is clearly with them, but I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue. This can't be specific to me. My bank says the payment on my debit card was declined because "the merchant has failed to provide the Bank with the necessary security information."

Have you actually spoken to someone at lastminute.com ?  Surely they can take payment over the phone where a human will check your name, postcode, and card details with you before passing these to the card company

I had an issue with lastminute about 12 years ago with them failing to take payment, I was left in limbo for three days trying to find out if the trip was booked and confirmed or not.  

I've never used them since.

I have and they kept pressing me to pay with my credit card which I refused to do. I have since tried to pay with it and met with the same result. I've used the same debit card to make 4 previous payments and I've never in 20+ years had a situation where I was unable to pay with PayPal,

Why would you refuse paying on a credit card when it would give you more protection?

Not to worry the OP.
But this card failed, try another & then paypal, which again fails..

Is a know fraud scam to get details..

So I hope OP was contacting them via a known number & not by any link in email/text to make payment.

Only other option would be that they have a payment issue via their merchant bank. But staff would be well aware of that one.

All done, finally, Apparently there's an issue between lastminute and Nat West. My bank (RBOS) is in the Nat West group so was affected. No idea why PayPal didn't work though
