Heating control ideas?

The diagram below illustrates my setup:

1. I have a Megaflo solar-compatible tank.
2. The boiler outlet is directly connected to the tank, and as far as I can tell, there's no dedicated control for hot water or heating—both are supplied via the Megaflo.
3. On the ground floor, I have Neostat underfloor heating with zone control. The ProWarm wiring centre connects directly to the boiler through the Megaflo wiring centre, which also connects to the motor controlling the ground floor's water supply.
4. On the first floor, I have Bosch Worcester smart TRVs paired with Bosch EasyControl, which connects to the boiler wirelessly via the Bosch RF wireless key.

My question is: how can I manage the water supply to the entire first floor? I don't need heating upstairs during the daytime. So far, I've received two suggestions:

1. Install a Heatmiser Neostat thermostat with an RF switch.
   • The idea here is to install a thermostat in the first-floor hallway to control the boiler and the motor for the entire floor.
2. Switch to Hive smart TRVs and an RF receiver, replacing all first-floor controls with Hive. This would consolidate everything into one interface.

Initially, I opted for Bosch to leverage variable heating control, but I’ve now realised the EasyTouch family lacks an RF receiver to manage the water valve/motor and boiler.

My choice would be Home Assistant - Customisable to cover virtually any situation. But it has a very steep learning curve. I started using HA with an old Baxi back boiler and a gravity fed hot water system. Worked very well as a programmable thermostat for heating & DHW. Now using a Viessmann combi, and have kept the HA to control everything. Also added smart light switches and temperature/humidity sensors around the house. The data I'm collecting comes in handy when evaluating any changes such as extra insulation, bigger radiators, and lower flow temperatures.

If you are looking for an "off the shelf" solution, Home Assistant is probably not for you.
