NS&I website login problems with 2FA

Just tried to login to check my options on the GGB maturity. Before I use to receive a passcode to my mobile which was fine. Today I receive an automated call telling me to press the hash key on my mobile. This doesn’t seem to register and CS don’t have any answers!

    Call them back and ask them to change the phone number to your landline (assuming you have one). 
  • Looking at the NSI help page they should only use the automated call if you have a landline registered. I tried logging in today and this time got the passcode sent as text message. So CS did as I requested!

    That isn't the case in practice. Every now and then you will be randomly selected for an automated call instead of SMS (sometimes in addition to SMS). It is unlikely anything CS did could change that.
  • Try again. Call is the back up.
