They are not going to get anything on their credit report for cancelling the DD. They are (maybe) going to get something if they cancel the DD and refuse to deal with the issue entirely. Which was not something I was advocating.0 -
It's interesting you can't buy the phone at the end of the period, I wonder how many get repaired and whether MM make anything out of the repair cost?
Can't see MM going to court for a couple of hundred quid, don't know enough about phones to say if the fee is reasonable, if OP cancels their DD, as they acknowledge the damage, it seems fair something is paid.
That Mrwhosetheboss guy did a video on phone repairs, IIRC the manufacturer repairs were expensive but superior so cheap may not cut it (particularly with regards to it still being water resistant after the repair)
