After waiting nearly a year for Chipolo One point trackers which work on the Google Find My device network I have found myself in a debate with Chipolo.  Google rolled out Find my device but unlike Apple all Android users have to opt in to use it which means the network unless in a heavy traffic area is next to useless.  Both Chipolo and Google are aware of the issue yet continue to promote the trackers as a find my lost item within a matter of minutes.  Currently the trackers are not fit for purpose yet Chipolo try to defend their sales blaming Google.   I have after a long battle managed to get a refund but other customers need to be aware of the problems.

Same as Tile which was a cross platform solution but requires users to have the Tile app installed and given permission to run in the background.

I dont think the fact that another solution is better is grounds for complaint. Android and iOS are simply different and inevitably depending on your personal priority one or the other may be better than other options. If you want the best chances of finding something in the UK and most similar countries then get yourself an iPhone. If you spend a lot of time in India etc then Android is likely to be better given the very low penetration of iOS even if it's an optional item on Android.
  • Hi DullGreyGuy the problem is that its advertised as a fantastic solution using Google but as you say in UK and EU then Apple works really well, Samsung tag will work better than Google.  The complaint is don't advertise it as a great solution when they are aware of the issues currently.  I know it will be a commercial decision from Chipolo but Google aren't bothered.
