House sale funds while in rental waiting to buy

Hi just looking for some advice please. We due to complete on our house sale in three weeks and moving into rental for 4 - 6 months until we complete on our new house. Totally clueless as to where to invest this money. It will be around 250,000. Any advice appreciated.
