Goodlord after Signature step (Step 2/page 2) what are the next 2 Steps about ? (Steps 3 & 4) ?

Goodlord after Signature step (Step/page 2) what are the next 2 Steps about ? (Steps 3 & 4) ?

People here who are familiar using the Landlord service  Goodlord might know this,

so wondering what would be expected on the next steps after step 2 (step 3 and step 4)

Here is the situation.

Tenant tenancy been emailed from estage agent to the tenant to look at and sign.

This has been with an email from Goodlord (in combo with the agent) with a goodlord link.

when clicking the link, it goes to a Goodlord page which shows in the top right corner STEP 1 of 4.

Here are the Steps:

Step 1 - INSURANCE they are selling tenant insurance, as an offer. This can be rejected and you can go to page 2 (next page)

Step 2 - SIGN TENANCY AGREEMENT - which is the Signature page - which includes the tenancy which you can download and go through, and if happy you can use the online signature on this page 2 to go to the next stage.

now before signing it and going forward,  what will be on (and expected) on Step 3 and Step 4?

Step 3 - ??

Step 4 - ??

People here familiar might know what is expected on the next steps, (step 3 and step 4)

The agent is away on holiday but just want to know what to expect on page 3 and 4 before signing anything.

Thank you xx

  • My son went through this - maybe 3 and 4 are referencing - I was the guarantor - not sure that he had to do much after he signed the agreement

If I remember correctly, step 3 maybe landlord signs and step 4 tenancy agreement issued to all parties.

Tenant insurance not really required, almost certainly can be cancelled within 14 days if bought online from various suppliers

When you asked goodlord your questions what did they reply, please?

perhaps there might be a step the agent has to do.

Doesn't 4 steps seem too less for a tenancy agreement ?
