The one part which IS my fault is the SSP1 form, the end date is totally wrong. Having never claimed this before I did not know if this date was THE end date or just the date of the notice etc.
Edit Just noticed all hopefully sorted now so you should get an updated SSP1 if still of sick. This should be filled in by the employer and if they hold any fit notes that go beyond the last day of SSP payment then they should be returned to you with the SSP1 form.1 -

I should have told them I admit. Quite why they had that date I do not know, anyone looking at 27th Feb (again the wrong date but hey ho) to 10th Aug would KNOW thats not 28 weeks.
After the e-mail this morning telling me I was wrong and that my 28 weeks were up I phoned payroll and (you have to be in the conversation to understand how tetchy they are) just about kept my temper. I insisted I was owed 4 weeks.
Anyway......about half hour later I had another e-mail which said Sage had put 8 weeks down for SSP but only paid me 4, whether thats true or not I don't know.
She has told ME to alter the date on that SSP form and all my fit notes were sent from my Drs via e-mail.
