British Gas Home Care Cover - Service
I realise I left it late to book my service, I was putting it off as my dog hasn't been well and I've just been overwhelmed...
...but I booked today and it's going to be 6 months before my boiler and cooker will be serviced! I was expecting a couple or a few months but 6! I don't know maybe thats too be expected?
I had a new boiler a during the pandemic and I think I got extra warranty if I took the cover out.

Give them endless hassle over it and they will tell you to book an independant engineer and send them the bill. That's what happened for me anyway and they did pay up1

I'm not sure why British Gas are so busy when they are hopeless.
My advice is to cancel the cover and go with a reputable local plumbing and heating engineer.
Save the money you would pay BG into a savings pot and use it if ever required.
We're around 18 years into a boiler that BG tried to condemn to get us to purchase a new one when we moved into our house.1
