Hi All,
There is a steady drip coming from this pipe out of the hot water tank in my bathroom. It must have been going on for a while, as I've only found it because a small water mark appeared on the kitchen ceiling directly below it.
Here's a short video of it for reference:

Can anyone advise on how to stop it?

The bottom isolation for the pump appears to be passing. It either needs replacing or the internal stem looking at. On the off chance that it has come loose you may be able to tighten it up but be careful not to overtighten it as brass fittings can crack easily. If its a replacement then the system will need to be drained down. It will be a quick job for a plumberSome people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!1

I tried to gently tighten but it didn't solve it.
So this is not a DIY job I assume?
Luckily, I have a plumber in the family.. Frustratingly, he doesn't live nearby..

It absolutely can be if you are happy draining down and refilling the system etc. The part is less than £10. Might be worth a quick whatsapp video call with your family plumber and they can talk you through anything you're not sure ofSome people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0

Don't forget to add a corrosion inhibitor when you refill the system.Would also be worth rotating the pump slightly so that it isn't hidden by the tank. Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0
