Energy Ombudsman was a waste of time.
    Who were you complaining against?

What were you asking them to do?  You've had a goodwill payment to meet 80% of the boiler repair costs, which is more than you were probably entitled to.  Did the ombudsman take the same view?

I was complaining to NG about the quality of service as we are constantly having Power outages. 15 in 18 months and lots more in the last 5 years, I was asking for a reduction in the service charge as Service and quality of fluctuations in the quality of the supply is poor. My view is if I had perfect supply that would equal 100% service charge, if quality is 75% the service charge should be reduced appropriately. A good thing that has occurred since I complained is they have done a helicopter inspection of the overhead cables with the result of lots of changes in my surrounding area as NG has flooded the area with repairs to the infrastructure.

We do not as such pay anything to NG. Any claim would be towards you Distribution Network Operator, although again you do not pay them anything. Any standing charges are to your supplier. Not sure if you would have any claim against them.

There are also massive upgrades to the supply systems at the moment to improve supplies.

There is no such entity as NG now, it is now called NESO.
