Hi,
I'm replacing it with an old (but new and never used) accenta mini and an old (also new and never used) accenta+ non LCD keypad
Trouble is... connected the keypad to the unit and on power on all I'm getting is a quick flashing of the keypad followed by the keypad alarm continuously sounding
non of the keys do anything and non of the keypad LED's are lit
any ideas please?

It's a long time since I had an accenta. The keys should definitely stay lit. There is no keypad addressing to get wrong.
How old is it?
Is the keypad wired as per page 5 of the installers manual including the tamper loop?
Do you know the engineer code?
Have you got a good battery installed?
Are the glass fuses on the board both ok
Maybe share a photo of the board and the wiring on the back of the keypad.

hi lorian...
How old is it?about 5 to 10 yearsIs the keypad wired as per page 5 of the installers manual including the tamper loop?Yes, the four power/comms/sound wires are connected ok at both ends as well (i've even tried putting a jumper on the tamper connectors on the keypad side and the alarm side)
Do you know the engineer code?Yes, its brand newHave you got a good battery installed?I'm waiting for the battery, ordered it yesterday
Are the glass fuses on the board both okYes I've got a load of spare ones, but checked each of the four and all are ok
Maybe share a photo of the board and the wiring on the back of the keypad.Ok will do....what i've just noticed in the manual......"IMPORTANT NOTE: do not power on the panel for the first time without first confirming a keypad is connected to the panel"I didn't do that when i powered up the panel temporarily to confirm it was workingI wonder if there is no going back now?Thanks0 -
Is the tamper spring in the back of the keypad ok?
I don't know why it says that in the manual.
Also have a search on old posts on the diynot forum that used to be the place to get accenta help0
