Advice on home insurance please temporary for occupied property

Can anyone tell me where to look for temporary insurance  for an occupied property.  I am selling and should be completed within the next 6 - 8 weeks and my home insurance runs out shortly, I don't want to have to take out a full years cover but I don't want to be without insurance.  There are plenty of firms who do temporary insurance for unoccupied properties but can't find any for occupied properties.  Thank you

Just renew and then cancel when not needed.  Check the cancellation fees.

Or, change the policy to your new address if appropriate when the time comes.

It doesn't exist, so buy an annual policy but factor in the cancellation costs when deciding who to go for.
