MET Parking McDonalds Deptford

Hi all,
Been reading the forum, thanks for all the resources you all post.
All very helpful but wish I came across it earlier.
MET Parking charge summary:
-Mcdonalds Deptford - 90 minute stay, we stayed over this
-Complained to McDonalds to cancel the charge - they said they would do it but obviously haven't (not local so I had to drive down ~3 hours)
-Appealed without any guidance
-MET rejected - advised to appeal to POPLA within 28 days
-Complained to McDonalds again during this time and missed the 28/33 day deadline
-Now here reading the forum realising what I should have done sooner
-Now received this:
"Thank you for your correspondence. As you are aware you have already appealed this charge and a response was sent
advising that the appeal had been rejected and providing you with details of how to appeal to the independent appeals
service and also how to pay the charge. No appeal was made to POPLA within the time frame and the opportunity has
now closed. There are no further opportunities to appeal this charge.
Please note the charge is due to be passed to our debt resolution agents for collection on xx/xx/2024 which will incur
you further costs, to avoid these costs please ensure that payment is received before that date. Payment may be made
online at xx or by phone on 020 3781 7471.
Please find enclosed images of the signs from the site and images of your vehicle entering and exiting the site."
Am I right just to ignore?
TIA

It's up to you if you want to fight it. What would be your defence for the allegation that you overstayed in breach of the terms, considering you've already admitted as much? You are past any appeal stage and so now you want for the inevitable court claim. You ignore everything except a Letter of Claim (LoC) or an actual court claim.
When you do get an LoC, refer to the second post in the Newbies/FAQ thread.

Ignore it and the £170 demands.
Obviously tell them if you move house because you can't risk missing a letter if it's eventually a court Claim Form, but that's common sense, not parking related.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

But we did miss them.
I will wait for LoC.
Thanks both.0 -
They send close-ups of what a sign may have looked like. Stock images. Not the same thing as how prominent and obvious the signs & terms were (or were not) on the day.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
