Arnold Clark 60 Day Warranty

I bought a used car from Arnold Clark on 25 June.  On 20 July the turbo broke causing damage to the intercooler and EGR valve.  Arnold Clark have yet to authorise the repairs but now want the VW franchise garage (where it was sent by AC because their own garage couldn't fix it) to remove the EGR valve so AC can collect it, 'clean it' and return it to VW to refit.  Naturally VW don't want to do this and have confirmed to AC that they would not accept any future warranty claim should the fault return.
