Mcdonalds car park fine

Hi everyone, complete newbie here. I’ve received a PCN from MET for staying in the car park for 130 mins ( allowed time is 90 mins).
I would really appreciate advice on the best way to handle an appeal as the Mcdonald’s was busy at the time, took at least 30 mins for all of my family to get our food. I think it’s a bit ridiculous to only allow 90 mins in the car park, considering if you’re with a large group it’s likely you will be there for over 90 mins.
I‘m pretty sure i should not tell them i was driving it that’s correct but any assistance is much appreciated

If you refer to the NEWBIE sticky, you will see that Plan A is best, bitter (but polite) complaint to McDonalds1
