Hello Everyone!
I've recently read on one of my electricity bills that there are 'charges' applied by my energy provider but it doesn't explain what it is. It's resulted in a charge of over £200 and goes without explanation as to why they did it. Given that it's direct debit payments as well. Don't energy providers have to state categorically and clearly why they are billing what they are, otherwise how do consumers have faith that they are not being ripped off?

Think nobody on here can really help you unless you post the bill, personal details redacted.0

The charges are most likely cost of elec + cost of gas
