NOW TV - Fraud

Now TV have been taking unauthorised payments from my Credit Card. They know who is doing this but refuse to stop the unauthorised payments. All they do is advise me to contact my CC company - of course I have done this and they have refunded the money. But NOW TV are the ones at fault - they are complicit in this fraud. But as they benefit they refuse to help. This is wrong - why should the CC company pay out when Now TV are responsible? This seems so unfair and unjust. I have now instructed my CC to BLOCK all payments to Now TV - this is the only way to stop further payments. Now TV gain from keeping the unauthorised payments but they have lost a customer. I am appalled at how Now TV refuse to take this issue seriously.

I suspect you have entered into an agreement with Now TV to take payments, have you read the small print of the contract that you have entered into?

Now TV maybe to blame but they are not ( probably ) guilty of fraud - you would get more help if you highlighted the exact nature of the contract and what has gone wrong.

So someone is your credit card details for their Now TV spending?  I don't see how this is Now TV's fault.  Your credit card company should cancel your card and issue you a new card with a different number.

So is this someone known to you such as a family member?

CC get the money back from NOW TV.

Now Tv will request new card details as per their right under Visa/Mastercard updater. So card provider need to update this to block any future payment. But that should be std practise where fraud is confirmed to this type of transaction.

You have to remember that you even as card holder, you are not the account holder with Now Tv, so they can not act on some 3rd party telling them this is fraud. Your card provider will do that when claiming the money back.

So they are not complicit in this, they are just following procedure.

The bit in bold is very confusing.
    Who is 'they'?
    And who 'is doing this'?

I suspect the OP didn't say anywhere that they entered into an agreement.

    Mmm. Is a interesting point.

As if now keep the payments, then they will not have lost a customer.

    The plot thickens.

Wonder if the OP will come back & clear this up 🤷‍♀️Given their analytics ?
