How to hang bathroom cupboard on stud/plasterboard walls?

You could also take a look at YouTube for guidence. It will give you some idea of what is involved.
I'd stick to UK based videos as other countries have different construction methods.1 -
Our bathroom fitters used the baton method then attaching to the battens.
Obviously this method lives or dies based on the batten being solidly attached, so make sure you choose the right screws and rawl plugs, and find a stud!
Do you know where they are somehow from measurements? Or do you have one of those detectors?0 -
You don't need to use rawl-plugs if you're screwing into wood - as long as you use an appropriately-sized screw it'll be solid as a rock. But as you rightly say, it is very important to make sure you're actually screwing into a stud, not just into plasterboard.ChilliBob said:

If you draw a rectangle on the wall (or use masking tape maybe) in the shape of the cupboard you can then merrily drill small holes in an exploratory fashion to work out where the studs are (if there are any) you can also find studs using a magnet as it'll stick to the screws holding the plasterboard to the studs.1

Assuming the wall isn’t tiled and there isn’t solid insulation behind the plasterboard these work well:

If you don’t have prime they should be a similar price on eBay or from Toolstation/ScrewFixIn the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces1 -
