Old Car finance checker?

I've seen adverts whereby you enter a few details and they show you your history of finance agreements for cars so you can then claim back and mis sold products.
Being caustious I assume everything is a scam or nefarious until proven otherwise so havent entered any details yet on any websites.
just asking if there is such a service though that shows you your finance history or is it all a sham?

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

There is a board for car commission claims here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/categories/reclaim-car-finance
I too think this is probably a scam but it may be worth asking there.1 -
