New timber framed house

How strange! Most houses in Scandinavia, for example, are timber frame, and indeed timber clad, and WMs with a 1600 spin speed are common.
We have a freestanding Bosch model and use the 1600 spin speed for towels, bedding, cotton underwear and socks. Perhaps it depends on which make and model it is, ours is very quiet and vibration free, even when spinning, never tries to move out of its space.0 -
They aren't a problem as timber framed houses in the UK usually have either concrete slabs, or block and beam. They were a bit of an issue In the USA, where the ground floors were timber, so it was recommended to have them in the basement, although manufacturers started making rubber mountings to help. Having a front loading machine spin on a timber floor with timber walls can make things like the plasterboard fixings pop out.0

Must say when assistant mentioned it I was surprised but I did look up a couple of models at the time, some of the 1400 and 1600 spin speeds did mention it in their description/ specification. Far eastern manufacture if my memory serves me well.Play with the expectation of winning not the fear of failure. S.Clarke0
