Megabus- cancelled bus

Hello everyone.
Megabus cancelled my bus last week. They sent me a link to rebook on a different bus, but the timings didn't suit me so I ended up getting a Flixbus. I've requested a refund from Megabus and they've said the following...
"I can see that you were sent an email from ourselves on the 20th August at 15:28 to advise you that the service you were booked on to was no longer operating, however you had a link to reschedule free of charge to a different service. If you did not do this within 14 days, then this link would expire.

You are not advised within this email that the ticket would be refunded as we had alternative services available.
Therefore, we would be unable to offer a refund on this occasion.
I do apologise for any inconvenience caused by this."
Can anyone advise me where I stand with this? Should I just call my bank and raise a dispute?

Megabus reservations cannot be canceled or refunded once completed, but they can be traded in for another journey up to three hours before the original departure time.
But they cancelled the service, so that's on them surely?15. Our right to amend or cancel
We reserve the right to alter any timetables, suspend, cancel or withdraw services, or terminate a service once it has commenced, with or without notice whether before or after you have bought a ticket on the service, and to substitute an alternative service or refund the fare and transaction fees.
If this occurs less than 14 days before your travel date you will be given a choice between alternative services or a full refund of fare and transaction fees.
Did they cancel less than 14 days before your travel date? If so, you must be given the option of full refund.
If more than 14 days, and they only offered an alternative service, since this is a consumer contract it depends on whether those alternatives were reasonable. You had expected to travel at 13:00. They offered 11:00 or 15:00.
What was the journey distance and what were the estimated ETAs of the different journeys?
Long distance bus travel is very dependent on traffic conditions, weather, passenger delays at pickup points, etc.0 -
Seems to be a lot of info about their right to cancel but can't see much about the customer's right to cancel other thanPlease check your booking very carefully before completing your transaction, as we don’t give any refunds for bookings after you’ve paid for them.I can't see that is a balanced contract, I'd try a chargeback with the card provider, @born_again might comment further on this option. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0

Chargeback is a option for non receipt of service. Assuming it was paid on a card.
Just how much as we looking at here?Life in the slow lane1 -

What were the respective estimated arrival times?
Did you have some specific constraints affecting your departure and arrival times?0 -
You booked a service that they cancelled, They sent you a link and you then chose not to rebook. I would raise a Chargeback.
