I would inform solicitor and then let it go, divorce is stressful enough without giving your energy to something meant to derail you. I would guess (I may well be wrong) that you already knew your ex was a shady sort so file it under 'stupid crap my ex does' and focus your energy on your future.

... My solicitor doenst think I’m liable as I didn’t request or agree to the work...
Why on earth are you asking random unqualified people on a consumer rights forum rather than a legally qualified person who is already advising you?  That's what you are paying them for.

I suspect your slocictor has advised you that it would be a waste of time reporting him to anybody and has told you to drop it, but you don't want to hear it.

You're getting divorced.  Get it done and over with and then forget it.  Don't keep replaying it...

[Edit:  By all means follow your solicitor's advice in challenging it, but forget about reporting it to anyone]
  • I asked here for the specific people I could report it to.
Also fraud is fraud and the tradesman was attempting to defraud me. He is responsible for his actions

Use the false invoices as evidence your ex is trying to diddle you financially. Take the advice of your professionally qualified solicitor.

Anything else is really you howling in the wind.

Report it to the police, then.  You've clearly made up your mind that it's fraudulent and therefore criminal, I'm not really sure what you're looking for here, other than people to agree with you.  People have given good advice and you're arguing with them, which seems an odd approach.

    ... strange, isn't it ...
  • I didn’t consider it arguing I was just pointing out that my reason for posting was to find out the agencies to report it to. I appreciate people taking the time to comment.

Fair enough.  If you think it's fraud, report it to the police.

Who won’t be interested. And even if they are, it would take months/years for any prosecution to happen.

Indeed, but it would make OP feel better, which is the object of the exercise.
