They should not be run completely flat.
They should not be regularly just topped up by short periods of charging after a short use period.
Ideally they should be used until they are quite low in charge, and then have a full recharge ( often takes many hours).
If the battery is faulty, knackered, it can confuse the charger into thinking they are fully charged when they are not.0 -
Just heard back from the supplier and the batteries have failed the test.
So 2 new batteries are being sent out.
