I suppose like most insurance, it comes down to your perception of risk. If you want to to take a chance on the rare occasion you buy something expensive and the even rarer occasion you have an accident on the way home with it, then do it. If you feel that risk is too great and you want to avoid potential hassle, have it delivered.
