I know Bravecto is the best for flea treatment, but what's the next best please?

Hi, looking to get a flea treatment for our cats. We have some Bravecto but it was an absolute nightmare to get - had to take the cats for checkups even though they absolutely hate them, then had to pay a lot for a prescription, and then eventually could buy the Bravecto - and somehow, now it's time to apply it, we've completely lost it. So around £200 wasted, and a load of stress/hassle for both us and the cats.

On a side note, we have two cats, what an absolute scam that the 250mg for medium cats actually costs more than the 500mg for large cats!0

Split the large one in 2?Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything! --
Many thanks

do your cqts have aproblem with fleas/
If not, do you need to put insecticide on them on a regular basis?
I have dogs, not cats, but I do not use flea treatment unless the dogs catch fleas , which has happened twice in over 50 years of owning dogs. Both times they caught them when visiting other houses.0
