Any tumble dryers with top emptying water tanks ?

My elderly mother with health issues has trouble emptying her tumble dryers water tank, which is right at the very bottom of the machine. Do any exist with water tanks higher up on the machine ? Preferably near the top. Thanks for any advice. Doesn't matter if heat pump or condenser style, sadly she can't have a outlet pipe one.

  • Yup, we have a Beko and it's right at the top, in same place as detergent drawer on a washing machine (it's a

  • Excellent, I just saw a pic, so that top left drawer opens up with the water tank in ? Is the machine any good ?
  • Yes, we a family of 5 (3 teens) and it takes a big load, is relatively quiet and dries pretty quickly. And oddly enough the light is actually really useful when you're trying to see if you've left a pesky sock behind.

My 83 year old mum also bought the same one (completely by chance) and she likes it too. It had a big aperture which is helpful if bending is tricky

  • I have an AEG 7000 series Lavatherm SensiDry technology machine with top left water drawer. It's a fantastic dryer and I would highly recommend. I bought a top water drawer due to mobility problems and it's so much easier to empty (having had both types). Good luck.
  • We have a Bosch series 4 heat pump with the draw at the top. It can also be plumbed in to drain externally, although I have not bothered to do it.
  • I have a beko and it's in the top left. Really great machine. Been serving me well for 10+ years.
  • I have a samsung with the drawer at the top.
previously had a hotpoint also with the drawer at the top
  • I bought a bog standard Electra tumble dryer from AO, to tide me over about five years ago. No frills, easy to operate. The water tank is at the top left and just slides out.
  • We also have the beko condenser with the top drawer and can't fault it, we're a family of four!

Mine’s an Indesit IDC8T3 tumble dryer with a top left container. It works very well.

Worth saying that a plumber could probably set it up so that the water empties to a drain, if you have one nearby. So you never need to empty it. In other countries this is standard.
