Land registry querying title plan and discharge document on house i bought two years ago

My husband and I bought a property 2 years ago and have recently decided to sell. The Estate Agent/valuer highlighted that when he looked into the title plan it was still in the name of the seller. I queried this with our conveyancing solicitor and she told us that it is because the Land Registry were querying the plans from the seller and also a discharge document. Our solicitor has requested that the issue be expedited due to us wanting to sell. We were completely oblivious to this ongoing issue, obviously this has left us in a very difficult position as to the future sale of the property as the Land Registry does not move quickly!

Has anyone ever come across this before?

Yes, very common and nothing to worry about unduly. Your solicitor should be able to advise.

We do have a backlog of some types of application and wait times can be lengthy. Unsure if it's to do with us not 'moving very quickly' as once processing starts applications are often completed same day.
However if the application is not in order and on some types of application that can be very common, then the delay/wait time can be down to the conveyancer/applicant as we wait for them to resolve issues
So it reads as if it's been waiting to be processed for some time but when it was we found it wasn't in order. Raised that with the conveyancer and they are trying to get the correct information from the seller's conveyancer
Until they do and respond in full we can't complete the registration, expedited or otherwise.
