Similar numbers and age here, while considering what to do I ve spread it over loads of accounts. My regular saver pot exceeds 6%, beating sip and isa for no risk, albeit taxable.

Imo, premium bonds for all 4 of you, £200k. If you need the rest (£150k) to live on, then split it into 2 or 3 savings accounts across different providers. If you don't need it now, cash ISA's bit by bit maybe. All very safe.
