Smart Parking LTD - Talbot Green

Hi all. I was hoping to get some help regarding a PCN I received from Smart Parking LTD at Talbot Green, RCT.
I parked in the carpark in the morning as I had a course in the area I had to attend. The course only lasted a couple of hours so I knew I would be back well within the free parking limit. I then left.
My son had a dentist appointment later on in the day in the same area so I re-entered the carpark and drove around looking for a parking spot. I then remembered that I'd probably would go over the limit so promptly left and parked elsewhere.
I then receive a letter from Smart Parking LTD stating I had overstayed the free parking time. They had an image of me entering in the morning before my course and one of me leaving later on in the day when I remembered I couldn't park there.
I straight away put in an appeal and explained the situation. They sent an e-mail confirming and said that they would investigate and let me know. This was back in July. I have now just received a letter from Debt Recovery Plus asking me to pay £160! They clearly didn't bother to check their cameras for me leaving after the course and re-entering later on in the day. They just think I entered in the morning and didn't leave until around 6hrs later.
I have just entered another appeal on the Smart Parking LTD website but tbh I'm not optimistic. Is there anything that can be done?

Known issue with ANPR - it's called double dipping - if Smart Parking refuse your appeal then it should go to IAS or POFA depending on which one applies.
Have you raised a complaint in their system? complaints@smartparking.com

Then if they don't cancel it, report them to the BPA for not sending you a POPLA code and failing to carry out human checks to avoid double dip PCNs.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
