Economy 10 current and new tariffs
I'm hoping someone will have had some experience or advice about this.
I'm with OVO Energy and have Simpler Energy - Economy 10because I have a Wet Electric heating system.
There are a number of issues with this system and tariff, but the immediate issue is with unit pricing.
My confusion is around different information being given by my supplier.
Within the OVO Android App, I have 2 sets of numbers for the current and changing unit prices,
however, I have received an email today from OVO telling me current and changing unit prices, and these do not match (the app account is signed up via the same email address for the supplier account).
App info from my last bill. App info
Current costs New costs
Off-peak kWh -16.79p Off-peak kWh - 17.63p
Peak kWh - 22.20p Peak kWh - 23.31p
Standing Charge - 61.42p Standing Charge - 64.49p
And the cost info from the OVO email
Current Costs New Costs
Off-peak kWh - 17.63p Off-peak kWh - 20.46p
Peak kWh - 23.31p Peak kWh - 25.11p
Standing Charge - 65.15p Standing Charge - 65.15p
Which numbers do I trust? The smaller increase will be hard to bear, however if the increases are
actually, the larger numbers from the email, then I'm in real trouble.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice gratefully received.

On the email are they the new rates from October 1st? Looks very odd..
im on e10 with EDF, their rates from October as comparison are S/C 51.26p per day, 30.95p day rate, 14.16p night and heat rate. In the eastern region.
you can see their rates in other regions on here (they use the E7 rates for E10)

VAT.
In your 'app info' figures, the ones on the left are ex VAT, the ones on the right include VAT. The current/new costs figures include VAT.
There's quite a big increase in the offpeak rate (16%) but a lower one on the peak rate (8%). Did you perhaps mistranscribe the standing charge? The 'current' figure looks as if it should be the same as the one in your top-right table. The increase is insignificant (£2.40 over a whole year)
The rule is that for E7 to be economical, your ratio of offpeak to total usage over the year has to be more than- [Peak rate - Single rate] / [Peak rate - Offpeak rate]
I don't know whether OVO are behind the field at the moment, but I suspect that the 1 October rates haven't yet made it to every page where their rates are shown. Sometime next week, perhaps.I'm not being lazy ...
I'm just in energy-saving mode.0
