Kitchen Worktop Cracked. (Sheridan, Benchmarx)

We had a new kitchen supplied through Benchmarx and fitted by our own builder. The worktops were supplied by Sheridan through Benchmarx. Sheridan came out and measured for the worktops, took photographs and compiled a template for the worktops. (Even with all that they made one too small.) The worktop is Apollo Slab Tech made from acrylic, with a 10 year manufacturers limited warranty. They were fitted in December 2021.
This week we noticed a crack had developed from where two pieces had been joined to go around a sink. We have no paperwork explaining how to make a claim under the warranty but we do have the original order and quotes. We contacted Benchmarx by telephone and were told to send an email about the issue. Just to make sure we went to the showroom as it's easier to get information face to face. We now know that Benchmarx no longer work with Sheridan. The lady we dealt with said she wasn't sure what the procedure was for dealing with the issue but she asked for copies of the paperwork we had to pass on to her management. After doing some research it would seem that Sheridan are now part of Howdens.
The question is, who is responsible for the warranty? Is it Sheridan or would Howdens have taken over the liability?

The warranty would be whoever offered the warranty... manufacturers, distributors or retailers are free to offer a warranty if they want to.
Your statutory rights would be with the retailer but there will probably be an inevitable question of if they were fitted properly or not2 -

Did Howdens buy the whole company or just the brand? Was it always part of Howdens?1 -

Thanks for your comments. We were told someone from management would have to deal with the issue and we'd be contacted by Monday. Still waiting.I had seen the email contact for Sheridan but as it said to contact the dealer, we thought we'd better do that first.I'll wait to see if they respond the email I've just sent before trying the Sheridan route.0

That company, formally known as DreamTowels, are a supplier of textiles... I'm guessing it's not the right company unless the OP went for a textile work surface. We do have some very nice Sheridan UK bedding at home though, unfortunately it doesn't fit our newer bed though0
